What To Expect: Medical Massage

Medical Massage Uncovered

Medical massage, also called clinical massage, is an outcome-based service that uses a specialized set of manual therapies and techniques to increase muscle health and tissue recovery.  It is also used to treat specific medical conditions.

Our sessions focus on relieving muscle tension, soreness, and restrictions that inhibit the muscle from functioning at its very best.

Leg Injury

We are committed to restoring your muscle function and optimizing posture so you can focus on feeling and looking your best.

We Want To Get To Know You

We first perform a thorough health intake so we can devise a treatment plan that best fits your specific needs. We ask that you fill out our health intake form so we can be aware of your medical history, injuries, or any  physical conditions you might have.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for the consultation process. We want you to gain the full session on the treatment table.

Getting Comfortable

Your comfort is our number one priority when it comes to your massage session. After the consultation, your therapist will leave the room to allow you to disrobe to your comfort level. During your session, we ensure your privacy is maintained at all times and the therapist will only uncover the part of the body that is needed.  Although, most of our clients prefer to wear comfortable activewear for sessions requiring more stretching and movement. We will also address any body region(s) you aren't comfortable with being worked on such as; face, feet, neck, scalp, etc.

Upon request, the room and massage table can be adjusted to your preferred temperature. There is an array of music options you can pick from depending on your mood. Let us know if you have any other specific accommodations and we would be more than happy to arrange them for your added comfort.

A Couple Things To Know

We keep an open door of communication here at Pro10. Feel free to provide feedback on your specific pressure or if you would like more attention on a specific area. This is key for us to deliver better results. Your therapist will be checking in periodically to make sure everything we are doing is just right.

It is important to stay in a relaxed mental and physical state during your session. This will allow us to better work into areas of tightness and your muscles will receive the treatment more effectively. Trust us, your body will thank you later!

This Is A Team Effort

We simply want to provide you with exactly what you are looking for. If we discover your pain is not muscular, we have trusted chiropractors and functional medicine practitioners ready to assist you! We want to do what's best for you and give you access to the right care.

We believe in a multidisciplinary health plan. One that allows all of the essential providers to be a part of your treatment. Our specialty is muscles and exercise, anything outside of that is to be treated by someone else.

Results of Medical Massage

This is one of our athletes we recently worked with. Her sports are basketball and gymnastics. She was experiencing pain referring down her arm. We were able to not only increase her shoulder range of motion but also significantly decrease her pain. 180 degrees is optimal for shoulder range of motion and it is especially crucial for her to perform at a high level, while also reducing her risk of shoulder injury.
